What kind of things will I do on the game?
You’ll decipher clues, uncover hidden locations, communicate with characters, solve physical puzzles, interact with people you meet, and make choices that affect your path in the story… 

Do I need to have organised my team before booking?
No, there’s no need to organise your team before booking - or even to have the right number of players, or be certain of your date...

After you’ve booked, you can easily add more players, or change the date of your game yourself on our website, at no cost and with a few clicks. There are limited slots for each date and time, so we’d recommend booking yourself in, then making any changes you need to after you’ve spoken to your chosen team mates.

Can children play the game?
HiddenCity games are designed first and foremost for adults - we think adults deserve to have fun and play too! If you do have children you’d like to bring along, we’d recommend the game as being appropriate for ages 12+ due to the style of cryptic clues and puzzles used in the game. 

Children aged 12+ will need their own separate ticket for the game, and to be accompanied by an adult due to licensing restrictions in some venues. If there are under 18s in your group, we’d recommend starting in the early afternoon at the latest, to ensure you can finish your game by 7.30pm to gain access to the final location.

How long does it take?
Most people complete the game in 3-4 hours, although some playing for time do it in around 2hr 30m. HiddenCity games are designed to be a fully curated experience for a morning, afternoon, or evening, that you can do entirely at your own pace. 

There are scheduled breaks in cafes & pubs along the way for you to grab food or drinks, and find additional refreshment (or toilet) stops nearby.

If you’re in a rush, or can’t wait to crack on with clue solving, there’s an option to skip the break altogether and keep your game moving forwards.

When can I play?
The Hunt for The Cheshire Cat runs 7 days a week, including bank holidays. You can start the game any time between:

• Mon - Fri: 12pm - 6pm
• Saturday: 11am - 6pm
• Sunday: 12pm - 4pm

How long does the game take?
Most people complete the game in 3-4 hours, so if you start at 6pm you'll finish around 9pm or 10pm. 

This time includes around 1.5 hours of breaks for food and drink, which are optional. You can play entirely at your own pace and choose shorter or longer breaks as you wish.

The Hunt for the Cheshire Cat starts on The Strand, at: The Cole Hole, 91 - 92 Strand, London, WC2R 0DW.

You'll walk around 3 miles in The Hunt for the Cheshire Cat. 

What age is the game suitable for?
This game is rated 12+. Please note: Under 18s must be accompanied by adults due to licensing restrictions. If there are under 18s in your group you must finish your game by 7:30pm to gain access to the final location. We recommend starting no later than 3:30pm. 

How does the game work?
Characters will text you cryptic clues, as part of a story that takes you on a journey across London. On your adventure you will:

• Find objects and speak to people you meet to help you solve the clues

• Pause for food and drinks at carefully curated refreshment stops
• Find a final secret location... How will your story end?
